my all time favorites would be "East of Eden" by John Steinbeck, "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabo---the god, the ever so helpful book "He's Just Not That Into You." And i looooooove the super dry humor of Steve Martin's "Shopgirl."

i also have that "he's just not that into you." sobrang funny. hehe. kaso medyo nakakadepress kasi kung lahat yun susundin ko, hindi na ako magkaka-bf! pero nevertheless, it's a nice read. miss v., if you liked he's just not that into you, maybe you'll like "men are from mars women are from venus" too..

I didn't find the book funny. It has humor pero it's one of the most serious books I've ever read. `Wag kang ma-depress. The truth shall set you free. para sa akin, very liberating ang librong `yun. ayoko nang mag-settle for second best ever. knock on wood. =)

hmm.. kilala nyo ba si Bob Ong? his books are one of my 'pinag-ipunan'.. ahehehe.. on the romantic side of things.. I do collect, sabi nila -- jolog, tagalog novels written by Ms. Martha Cecilia and ate Van.. hehe.. sa foreign, Judith McNaught's novels plus Barbara Delinsky (tama ba ako? matagal na ring di ako nakakapagbasa ng mga ito at madalas nami-mixed up ko ang names nila Janet Daley, Jude Devereaux etc.).. I also read Michael Crichton's and Tom Clancy's minsan from my dad's collection.. besides, lahat talaga ng librong binabasa ko, I put to heart..

[glow=red,2,300]yes, it's a short novella (short na, novella pa) by stephen king and it's out of publication already. kaya kahit online wala nang available (puwera siguro sa ebay). available na lang ay audio cassette, sabi pa 6 pages lang daw. that's got to be really short then. though I'm not completely sure.
I'm guessing the movie is as good as the one written by King because it's a Rob Reiner film. Siya rin ang nag-direct ng "Misery," (Kathy Bates) also by King. But what do i know? [/glow]
