we pay the price of fear and worry to live the life of a human being. our susceptibility to anxiety is the root cause of our problems.
a difficult situation can be handled in two ways: we can either do something to change it, or face it. if we can do something, then why worry and get upset over it - just change it. if there is nothing we can do, again, why worry and get upset over it? things will not get better with anger and worry. - shantideva
the cause of suffering is nothing but selfish desire, friction between elements and energies and changes. - buddha
an angry man opens his mouth and closes his eyes.

BELIEVE IN ANGELS
I Believe in Angels, and I Know One Is Watching Over You
I know there's an angel always by your side. Whether male or female, it's there to be your guide.
It rejoices with each sunrise, the beginning of each day, knowing that you're safe, indeed, for in God's hands you stay.
And when the evening comes and the darkness makes its cover, your angel settles in the coming night and above your head it hovers.
Yes, I believe in angels -- you have your very own, because you are God's special child and you'll never be alone.

Let It Be Forgotten
By: Sarah Teasdale
Let it be forgotten, as a flower is forgotten, Forgotten as a fire that once was singing gold. Let it be forgotten forever and ever, Time is a kind friend, he will make us old.
If anyone asks, say it was forgotten Long and long ago, As a flower, as a fire, as a hushed footfall In a long-forgotten snow.

isa sa mga masterpiece ni Pablo Neruda which i read in one her novels (Angela Cabrera & Jaime Miguel Linero under Sandcastles series ) I Crave Your Mouth, Your Voice, Your Hair I crave your mouth, your voice, your hair. Silent and starving, I prowl through the streets. Bread does not nourish me, dawn disrupts me, all day I hunt for the liquid measure of your steps.
I hunger for your sleek laugh, your hands the color of a savage harvest, hunger for the pale stones of your fingernails, I want to eat your skin like a whole almond.
I want to eat the sunbeam flaring in your lovely body, the sovereign nose of your arrogant face, I want to eat the fleeting shade of your lashes,
and I pace around hungry, sniffing the twilight, hunting for you, for your hot heart, like a puma in the barrens of Quitratue.

Hey friends, i just want to share this one. Its one of my fave foreword of ms. vanessa's novel (Ikaw sa buhay ko). Here it goes: MICKEY's POEM (Untitled) I asked "If I shall need a friend to turn to, will you be there?" You held my hand and said "Yes".
I asked, "If I shall need your help for something, will you be there?" You grinned and said "Yes".
I asked, "If I sulk for one night, will you lend me your shoulder to cry on?" You held me close and said "Yes".
I asked, If I tell you that I love you, can I expect for something more?" You turned away and said, "No, we're just friend'.

Footprints in the Sand
BY: Mary Stevenson
One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky. In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only. This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord, “You promised me Lord, that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?” The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”

I Know Something Good About You
Author unknown
Wouldn't this old world be better, If the folks we meet would say, 'I know something good about you', And then treat us just that way.
Wouldn't it be fine and dandy, If each handclasp warm and true, Carried with it this assurance, 'I know something good about you'.
Wouldn't things here be more pleasant, If the good that's in all, Were the only things about us, That folks bothered to recall.
Wouldn't life be lots more happy, If we'd praise the good we see, For there's such a lot of goodness, In the worst of you and me.
Wouldn't it be nice to practice, This fine way of thinking too-- 'You know something good about me, I know something good about you!'
